National Lottery Grants for Heritage applications now open, as Feryal Clark MP encourages organisations in Enfield North to apply

In a return to core business, applications are now open for National Lottery Grants for Heritage for 2021-22.  Feryal Clark, MP for Enfield North, encourages local organisations to apply as grants become available from £3,000 up to £5million.

Priority will be given to heritage projects that will boost the local economy, encourage skills development, support wellbeing and create better places to live, work and visit. Every project must also achieve the inclusion outcome, ‘a wider range of people will be involved in heritage’.

Application guidance has been updated in line with the Covid-19 context, and assumptions about social distancing and potential risks to the project due to the pandemic need to be considered in the application.

Feryal Clark, MP for Enfield North, said:

“Enfield has a rich heritage, with many museums and heritage organisations in the area working hard to preserve and showcase this history. The past year has been incredibly difficult for many of these organisations, however, with funding being a particular cause for concern.

“National Lottery Grants present a valuable opportunity for local organisations to create projects that can boost the resilience of the industry and generate new jobs for local people.  It could also attract more visitors to the local area, providing support for the recovery of our local economy.

“The news that applications for National Lottery Grants for Heritage have re-opened is really welcome news, and I encourage constituents in Enfield North to apply for funding. The application process can feel daunting, but there is support and guidance available.”
